The 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan SE is easy to maintain. Some of the non-LED headlights are accessible by simply reaching behind the housing and removing their covers, allowing for reliable bulb changes. Connecting your phone via Bluetooth won’t be a problem thanks to the clear instructions on the touchscreen menu. The spare tire and jack kit are both packaged beneath the trunk lining and can be easily removed in the event of a flat.
However, the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan SE has some downsides. Accessing the other non-LED headlights—particularly, the fog and parking lights—requires the wheel well lining to be disengaged and pried back first, which won’t allow for reliable bulb changes. Performing a coolant flush may be problematic the large panel from under the vehicle that needs to be removed. The wiper blades must be engaged into their service position before they can be removed, making for tedious replacements.
