Consumer Review Video - 2006 Mercury Milan Premier 3.0L V6

Common problems and easy repairs on a 2006 Milan

The 2006 Mercury Milan Premier is an easy car to maintain. The reverse lights are easily accessible after prying back the lining in the trunk door, allowing for very reliable bulb changes. Changing the battery shouldn’t be a problem, as its non-remote terminals and bracket are easily accessible right on top. The engine air filter is also easy to access, as no tools are needed to disengage the housing.

However, the 2006 Mercury Milan Premier has its setbacks. Many of the headlights don’t have reliable access, requiring either the removal of multiple engine parts or portions of the wheel well lining to reach them. The fog lights also have problematic access, as a panel needs to be pried back from underneath the vehicle that may put you in an awkward position. The cabin air filter is also tedious to change, requiring many fasteners and the glove box to be disconnected for access.
